⛓️ Genesis Global Files for Bankruptcy

On 19 January 2023 the crypto lender Genesis Global filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy with roughly $5.1 billion of total liabilities. Its interim CEO named the cause to the court outright: the May 2022 collapse of Luna and TerraUSD, followed by the liquidation of the Three Arrows Capital hedge fund.
