⚰️ Death of the QuadrigaCX Founder

On 14 January 2019 the exchange QuadrigaCX announced the death of its founder Gerald Cotten, who was said to have taken the cold wallet keys with him. The Ontario Securities Commission later found otherwise: over 76,000 clients lost at least $169 million, most of it to Cotten's fraud, and the platform "operated like a Ponzi scheme."
