On June 25, 2011, in private correspondence with Jon Matonis, Len Sassaman expressed his concerns about privacy (or rather, lack of privacy) in Bitcoin: "Any state-level adversary can link bitcoin back to the user's real-world identity — or at least, real-world computer."
