⚖️ Karn v. United States filed

On September 21, 1995, Phil Karn sues the US State Department: it had allowed export of Bruce Schneier's "Applied Cryptography" with the source code printed on paper, but denied export of a floppy disk with the identical code — Karn challenges the export controls as a First and Fifth Amendment violation.
