📮 Eric Hughes launches the first cypherpunks remailer

On September 23, 1992 (sender's local date; the archive indexes the message as the 24th), an anonymous post signed "Mr. Crypto" announces a free remailer on the cypherpunks list: send mail to hughes@soda.berkeley.edu with a Request-Remailing-To header and the software strips the headers and forwards it on. It is the first remailer built inside the cypherpunks movement itself.
